About
Janine is inspired by her surroundings. Living in picturesque Gerringong on the beautiful South Coast of New South Wales means that Janine has endless possibilities for modern landscapes. Often birds feature in her work, with interiors, still life and the occasional old piece of furniture also being favourites. She has recently been learning spoon carving.
Janine describes herself as a bit of a chameleon. She thrives on variety and loves experimenting, mostly with oil paint. Janine likes to distort her images, use texture, find the whimsy in things and loves to tell stories through her images.
Janine holds an Advanced Diploma in Fine Art, majoring in printmaking and painting. Her work has featured in numerous exhibitions, both locally in the Illawarra and in Sydney.
This site showcases a number of Janine’s works, many of which are available for sale. Commission pieces are also welcomed. Any size or format is possible. Please contact Janine to discuss your ideas.
